I found out about Fellowship Baptist Church after I had been researching online to find a solid, Biblically sound, home church for me and my family (I'm a single mom). I liked what I read (and the sermons that I heard) online and decided to visit. I was *not* disappointed! From day one everybody was so warm and friendly; the kids programs were GREAT. I never stopped going. I felt refreshed every time I left the service, and I always learned new things from the preaching. I loved the fact that the pastor wasn't afraid to talk about sin/ungodliness. It wasn't very long after I started going that I got to know Pastor Barrett, his wife Elizabeth and their kids. They're so down to earth, super-duper-approachable, and had a great sense of humor; all in all I found them to be caring people who love The Lord. There's something to be said about a Pastor that's accessible; if you have an issue you can call him up or email him and he's always quick to respond. If you happen to be looking for a genuine, homely, *Baptist* Church I'd put FBC on the top of your list; you won't regret it.
I need to say something about the family of believers there, too. I went to FBC for several months before I decided that I wanted to officially join the Family there, but to tell you the truth I felt like I was a part of the FBC Family from my first visit. The people are so very loving and sacrificial with their time in helping everyone and anyone who needed it or wanted it. There are so many kind people willing to go out of their way to be a blessing. I'm not talking about a 'painted-face' type of Christianity, but a real genuine spirit of love and humility.
The Elders at FBC are amazing, they weren't critical or mean spirited but approachable and easy to talk to. At the same time, they (along w/the Pastor) provided strong leadership and stayed close to the scriptures as opposed to a lot of liberal entertainment driven churches.
Sadly the time came where I had to move out of state and unfortunately I could no longer attend FBC. I absolutely love my church family at Fellowship Baptist; I miss you all so much!

WENT FOR A SHORT TIME AND FOUND OUT THEY TRY TO FORCE YOU INTO MEMBERSHIP VERY QUICKLY AND ARE VERY AUTHOITARIAN AND FOUND OUT THEY BELIEVE THAT IF YOU DO NOT BECOME A MEMBER YOU ARE NOT SAVED. EVEN THOUGH THEY HAVE BAPTIST IN THE NAME THE REALITY IS IT IS VERY UNBALANCED TOWARDS LEGALISM AND LEANING TO CULT LIKE BEHAVIOR. PLEASE SAVE YOUR SOUL AND SHAKE OFF THE DUST FROM YOUR SANDALS EVEN BEFORE YOU TRY IT. A SPLIT IS HAPPENING SOON!

After listening to their online sermons for a month and finding them to be Biblically sound, in depth and Christ-centered, my family decided to visit Fellow Baptist Church in April 2014. We were immediately welcomed by the people with the love of Christ. We were invited to attend life group at the Pastor's house (which is almost unheard of today) and we found his family to be very caring and down-to-earth. After attending for about the six months, Pastor Matthew invited us to come check out the membership class which we did. After carefully observing for six months and finding that the church practiced what they preach, we decided to become members. It has been a little over a year now that we have been attending and we haven't regretted the decision. It is a small congregation but the people are connected, the ministries are organized and thriving ... in particular the children's ministries. The women's ministry is still growing but that just means there is an opportunity for the Lord to use those who are willing to serve. I think the women are the backbone of this church but I have to say that the men are definitely the strength of the church as it should be. I believe the elders lead with humility and gentleness but without compromising the word of God. The truth is spoken in love here. As with every church, there are challenges but during the time I have been here, I can say honestly that the elders handled every situation Biblically and with love. This church is growing stronger .. the key word here is growing. My husband and I were impressed with the amount of attention and care that was given to resolve issues. I truly believe the people of FBC want to love and honor Christ and see His name exalted in all the earth.
